Hey! We are The Hutchinsons of The HutchLife!

Residing in Dallas, TX we’ve had the opportunity to live in New Jersey, Michigan, and Atlanta. Like many we had a ton of debt. $111,000 worth. Student loans, credit cards, etc. We thought we were normal and would be paying on it all for the 20 year term we had with Navient. But in January 2016 I (Kamille) felt sick to my stomach after we got back from an amazing 11-night cruise in the Caribbean. All I could think about was paying off all the fun things we did while on vacation and I didn’t want to be in the same cyclical cycle again. Doing the same thing over and over is insanity defined right? Well every year we were racking up debt on credit cards and paying it off by the end of the year. I didn’t want us doing that another year. So I asked God to help. He did and we took Financial Peace University and paid off our debt 21 months later in November 2017. Since then we have been moved twice and been blessed with 2 beautiful daughters.

Our current mission, which we chose to take up, is to become financially independent in the next 10 years. I don’t know if we want to retire early, but we do want the freedom to be able to do so if we choose to at that point. We are determined to create a legacy for our girls and to share not only our journey with others but also what we learn along the way, both successes and challenges.
